Drawdown protection for prop-firm traders
Protect your account from breaching your firm's drawdown rules.
Drawdown Defender watches your funded and evaluation accounts in real time against your firm's exact drawdown rules — max static, trailing or daily drawdowns — and closes your positions before a breach, not after it.
Works with TradeLocker, DXtrade and Match-Trader accounts.
How it works
Three steps. Most traders are protected within minutes of signing up.
- 01
Connect your account
Choose your platform and sign in to your prop-firm account once. Drawdown Defender reads your balance, equity and positions in real time.
- 02
Set your floor
Pick your firm's rule — static, trailing or daily loss — and where you want to be protected. You see the exact floor before you switch protection on.
- 03
Trade. We hold the line.
If equity reaches your protection line, Drawdown Defender closes your open positions and tells you what it did. If it ever can't see your account, it tells you that too.
Built for the way prop accounts actually fail
Most breached accounts aren't lost to a bad strategy. They're lost to a position left open through a spike, a misunderstood daily reset, or one unwatched afternoon.
Your firm's real rule, not an approximation
Static, trailing and daily-loss limits are tracked the way your firm calculates them, including how and when the daily limit resets.
Built to stay up
Every account is watched by redundant servers with automatic failover, so one machine going down doesn't leave you exposed.
It never opens a trade
Drawdown Defender only reads your account and closes positions when your line is reached. It never places a new order.
Simple per-account pricing
Every rule on every account. Protect three or more and every account costs less.

Questions
Is this a guarantee my account won't breach?
No. Drawdown Defender is a best-effort automated risk control. Price gaps, weekend opens, broker or platform outages and slippage can all defeat a close. We work hard to make those cases rare, and we tell you plainly when protection isn't in force.
Does it ever place trades for me?
Never. It reads your account and, when your protection line is reached, closes open positions. It does not open, copy or modify trades.
Is my prop firm OK with this?
Firms' rules differ. Check your firm's terms before connecting an account — whether a third-party risk tool is allowed is your call, and we ask you to confirm it when you add an account.
How is my account login stored?
